Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation:
  • Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
  • Mix and portion ingredients for meals and dishes.
  • Assist with assembling ingredients for cooking.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
  • Clean and maintain work surfaces, floors, walls, and ceilings.
  • Empty trash, clean bins, and manage waste and recycling.
  • Ensure all areas and equipment comply with sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Kitchen Operations:
  • Receive, unload, and store food deliveries and supplies.
  • Organize and stock ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment.
  • Support:
  • Support chefs and cooks with other assigned tasks.
  • Transport, set, and serve food on trays.
  • Assist with packing take-out orders.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Understanding and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manual Dexterity: Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
  • Time Management: Efficiently completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Following Instructions: Ability to follow directions and work under minimal supervision.
