ABOUT THE ROLE

Innovations in Care Ltd is seeking passionate and resilient Male Support Workers to join our specialist team providing person-centred support to young adults living with complex and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live safely and independently in the community while managing risk and promoting recovery.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role that involves working within structured support plans, maintaining strong professional boundaries, and contributing to a safe, supportive environment. Our services are not institutional or restrictive—we walk alongside people on their journey towards independence, even when that road is complex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide practical and emotional support to young adults with complex mental health needs, helping them maintain their independence and wellbeing.
  • Implement and follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Risk Assessments, and Crisis Response Protocols.
  • Deliver person-centred care, enabling choice, control, and the least restrictive options at all times.
  • Build therapeutic relationships that foster trust, safety, and long-term progress.
  • Support clients to manage day-to-day tasks such as medication, finances, domestic skills, and accessing community services.
  • Respond to incidents in line with training, including the safe and legal use of restraint when absolutely necessary.
  • Record and report accurately using our internal systems, ensuring safeguarding and governance standards are met.
  • Work closely with mental health professionals, social workers, families, and colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and reflective practice sessions.
