MALE SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Social care experience, ideally within Autism and Epilepsy
  • Full Automatic Driving License ESSENTIAL
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION – MALE SUPPORT WORKER

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a Male Support Worker within the Crewe area to support a gentleman in their 30’s who has a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, Autism and Epilepsy.
He lives independently in his own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day. The gentleman we support has a good sense of humour, enjoys going out in the car, and going bowling.
He is supported by a male only team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting automatic drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.
