Where you’ll be working: Kingston Day Opportunities
Type of service: Resource Centre and Community Based Day Opportunities
Location – New Malden
Your salary: £13.85 per hour
Your working hours: We have a 30 hour a week contract -Monday to Friday- 7:30am-17pm

Responsibilities

You will be supporting adults in our 1-1 Service to take part in a variety of activities that help them to learn new skills, socialise and potentially work towards employment. Some of these activities are facilitated in our busy building where we run our own canteen and café. We are looking for a candidate with skills in areas such as art music drama horticulture cookery and IT. You will require some experience in planning and facilitating sessions with meaningful outcomes for learning disabled adults with a range of abilities.
You will need competent computer skills to plan and record. We also access a timetable of community-based activities that include gym sessions, swimming and dancing classes. We use public transport and our own vehicles. For this position we require a candidate to be able to push a wheelchair. The most important aspect of this unique job is your enthusiasm and ability and create a positive rapport with the people we support in an environment where they are given every opportunity to achieve their goals.
