MALE SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full UK Manual Driving License – Essential.
  • Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with ABI.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and and acquired brain injury.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours perceived as challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Responsibilities

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a Male Support Worker, within the Salford area of Manchester, to support a gentleman in his 40’s who has a diagnosis of Organic Personality Disorder and dysarthria as a result of brain injury.
The gentleman we support lives independently in his own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day. He has a good sense of humour, enjoys fitness and gym and is a huge Manchester United football club fan.
He is supported by a male only team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights.
We are recruiting manual drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.
