POSITION

As a Toxicology Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in performing observed toxicology collections at our facility. We are seeking a male collector to perform observed toxicology collections for male patients at our facility. This role ensures compliance with privacy standards and is critical in maintaining the integrity of the collection process. This part-time position requires accurate collection, documentation, and handling of specimens, ensuring smooth communication between patients and the laboratory. You will act as the face of the laboratory for patients, providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with collection procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in phlebotomy, CNA, Med Tech, or a related field is preferred (newly certified candidates are encouraged to apply).
  • Experience in specimen collection and data entry preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Male applicants, due to the privacy requirements of performing observed collections for male patients. This complies with industry standards to protect patient comfort and privacy.
  • Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Perform observed toxicology specimen collections from male patients at the facility.
  • Accurately input patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS).
  • Verify and label specimens with appropriate identifiers.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing of specimens.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation following established protocols.
  • Provide information and answer questions for patients and laboratory staff.
  • Ensure infection control procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.
