OVERVIEW

The Malthouse is located at the end of Thornbury High Street and features two bar areas. The main bar has seating at the front, a booth area and a dancefloor/pool area at the back. There is also the lounge bar which has a darts board and pool table for those wanting a quieter game. The pub is a popular drinking pub with regular live entertainment at weekends, live sport throughout the week and pub teams playing midweek. It is popular with local workers in the afternoon/early evening and attracts a lot of drinkers in the evenings for sport and entertainment.
There are tables out the front for drinking in the sun along with a covered area at the rear of the pub.
The pub is situated on the high street so benefits from a lot of passing trade. It has a strong base of regulars from a wide range of ages and is popular with various demographics.
The pub is well known in the area and an established part of the Thornbury nightlife and pub scene. It generally has great feedback and there are lots of opportunity to grow sales.
We are looking for someone with previous pub experience who is confident in promoting live sport and live entertainment in their pub. Knowledge of the local area would be an advantage but not essential. Ideal candidate would be someone very entrepreneurial spirit but that can follow company guidelines and someone keen to get involved with the local community.
The pub is currently turning over on average £8500 per week (100%wet lead) and comprises of 4 bedroom accommodation.
