Job Description Analyzing malicious files and creating generic protections for Check Point products. Lead releasing high quality daily protections for our customers and constantly monitoring detections. Lead our response to high profile attacks, understand them and guide the creation of relevant protections. Lead our automation efforts and reduce manual protection work. Monitoring our wide sensors information and find leads for interesting cases of targeted attacks & campaigns. Running deep investigation in Check Point products and lead enhancements in security & UX. Publish marketing and technical blogs for interesting findings by the team. Present your work in different forums including stakeholders, strategic customers and security conferences. Automate daily processes in order to increase the team’s efficiency. Qualifications At least 2-3 years of Hands-on experience in reverse engineering (static/dynamic malware analysis) Strong understanding of Linux internals Practical knowledge in writing detection rules (static/behavioural). Proficiency in coding and scripting - Python is required. Broad knowledge of in-the-wild attacks, malware families, and current security trends. Proven experience in analyzing cyberattacks end-to-end. Ability to translate findings into actionable detection signatures and protection logic. Familiarity with common hacking tools and attacker techniques. Knowledge of advanced threat-hunting methodologies. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP(S), DNS, SMB, FTP). Experience writing technical blogs, reports, and analysis papers. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
