Job Description: Mammography Tech Performs a variety of Mammography exams for patients. Applies principles, theories and techniques of Mammography imaging to provide reliable imaging results. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES Graduate of Accredited Radiology Technology program Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist’s certification in Radiolography and Mammography modalities Current Oregon license American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Image Wisely pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter Image Gently pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter Associates or Bachelors degree preferred EXPERIENCE One year previous experience in Mammography Experience in stereo biopsy preferred GENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: UFCW The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
