Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Mammography Technologist accepts independent clinical and non-clinical tasks as necessary to provide specific Mammography services to adult populations. Coordinates and manages projects for the Mobile Women’s Health Unit. Qualifications Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and direct the daily operations of assigned Mobile Clinic. Performs screening mammography to comply with MQSA. Use of safety devices / shields/ aprons to assure maximum radiation safety. Follows “Universal Precautions” for safety regulations; uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as task on hand requires. Follows the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines and Variety Care policies and procedures as they relate to privacy and confidentiality. Comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommendations for the workplace. Dispose of contaminated items in accordance to Variety Care policy. Maintain accurate records for daily clinic operations, demographic data, and manage follow up treatment with any patient/parent after appointments. Maintain and manage on-board inventory of supplies, instruments, infection control and housekeeping. Promptly report any malfunctions of the equipment or the Mobile Van to your supervisor Always be a positive representative of the Mobile Unit team. In collaboration with your department, work towards the implementation of the Mobile Van Team’s current strategic plan and the accomplishment of the related strategic and aspirational goals. Maintain complete confidentiality regarding medical records and personal information. Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program. ARRT Certified in mammography. Demonstrate ability to obtain and record accurate information into electronic medical records software. Experience with written and verbal communication skills with patient population. Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities. Good time management and organizational skills. Preferred Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge: Previous related experience. Previous clinic or primary practice experience. Bilingual Prior EPIC EMR usage
