The Mammography Technologist performs mammography screening, diagnostic evaluations and procedures, to support the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. This position assists in the training of students and technologists in Mammography. The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required Professional/Vocational/Trade Training
• Required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Required X-Ray Operators (OPCERT) - State Licensing Board
• Required within 1 year Mammography (ARRT-M) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Preferred Associate’s Degree
• Preferred 1 year Mammography
• Preferred New Graduate of Radiology/Mam
