EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Mid-level system administrator experience (2-3 years) in the following technologies:

  • Endpoint Operating Systems and applications (Windows OS, Office, MAC)
  • Microsoft Directory platforms (Active Directory, Entra ID)
  • Microsoft Server Applications (Exchange, SQL)
  • Client management (Intune, SCCM, App Packaging, Configuration Profiles)
  • Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration
  • Microsoft Security Solutions (Defender, EDR, Azure MFA, Conditional Access)
  • Basic Networking understanding
  • Exceptional client relationship / customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel and work from customer locations across WI and IL.
  • Ability to work unsocial hours on an as needed basis. (Weekend patching etc.)
  • Ability to provide out of hours support via an on-call rotation program
  • All other applicable tasks deemed as a requirement by supervisor or Capital Data Leadership.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Managed Services Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 support services for Capital Data’s Managed Services customer base. Responsibilities will include client end point and infrastructure management, technical solution training, delivery and troubleshooting.

DUTIES:

Managed and Hosted Services (90%)

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support to new and existing Managed Services customers
  • Provide layered support structure to Senior Engineers to help maintain excellent customer satisfaction
  • Provide first response and ownership of incidents and requests sent to the Incident Management Tool for designated customers
  • Provide first response to infrastructure alerts from our Monitoring Tools for designated customers
  • Monitor and manage systems alerts and logs
  • Aid in developing offerings and improve internal processes wherever possible
  • Own and manage customer relationships / accounts as needed
  • Work closely with Team Lead to develop technical skill set and competencies
  • Provide out of hours support via on call rotation as required
  • Provide first line of escalation assistance to Service Desk team

Professional Development and Services (10%)

  • Complete training certifications as required
  • Assist the Professional Services team with delivery as demand requires
