REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS/MA in Computer Science or Information Technology and 10 years experience or BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology with 12 years experience.
  • Must have one of the following valid security related certifications: SecurityX / CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, Cloud+, FITSP-O, GFACT, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP.
  • Must have one of the following valid technology area certifications: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Engineer, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Security Operations Analyst Associate, Cybersecurity Architect, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing duties like site surveys, architecture design, system evaluation, analysis, and infrastructure assessment.
  • Perform duties that require expertise in system/processor architecture, operating systems, software applications, network protocols, routers, switches, remote access servers, and firewalls.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
  • Develops and documents system administration standard operating procedures, complies with the governments systems administration standards operating procedures.Manages system/server resources to include performance, capability, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
  • Installs, updates, and troubleshoots systems/servers, performs repairs on faulty system/server hardware, and hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
  • Maintains baseline system security according to government policies, and designs group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with government standards and business rules.
  • Requires knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles, computer networking concepts, protocols, network security methodologies, risk management framework, and government user security policies.
  • Posses skills in monitoring, optimizing system/server performance, operating system administration (account maintenance, data backups, system performance, install and configure new hardware/software), operating system hardening techniques, correcting physical and technical problems that impact server performance, and recovering failed systems/servers.
  • Requires knowledge of virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others.
