You will play a key role in translating complex financial data into meaningful analysis, ensuring performance is understood, opportunities are identified, and risks are managed with care and professionalism. You will bring a high level of precision, integrity, and commercial awareness to your work, alongside a genuine curiosity for how the hotel operates day to day. Working collaboratively with team members across the hotel, you will help establish strong financial foundations while supporting a culture that values openness, respect, and shared success. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts for Cambridge House, delivering a full suite of reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Work closely with the broader team to ensure results are clear and aligned with operational performance. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working in close partnership with department heads to develop realistic, well-considered plans. Balance operational insight with strategic objectives, shaping budgets that support the commercial direction of Cambridge House while remaining operationally sound. Deliver clear and insightful variance analysis and translate financial performance into practical, actionable insight, helping the team understand trends, address challenges, and make informed decisions. Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures that align with best practice. Ensure controls protect the business, support accountability, and enable teams to operate with confidence and efficiency. Support the pre-opening phase, playing a key role in finance systems set-up, chart of accounts design, and supplier and cost structures. Contribute to creating strong financial foundations that will support a smooth opening and long-term operational success. Partner closely with operational teams to support effective cost control, revenue optimisation, and margin improvement. Provide financial guidance that enhances commercial performance while always respecting and protecting the guest experience. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance at all times. Maintain a disciplined approach to review and documentation, with issues identified and resolved in a timely manner. Assist with year-end processes, audits, and statutory reporting, liaising with external auditors and advisors as required. Ensure all reporting obligations are met with professionalism, transparency, and attention to detail. Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to deliver a seamless, supportive, and highly professional finance function. Share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to an environment of trust and mutual respect. Qualifications Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance financial discipline and operational nuance. Meticulous attention to detail, with a calm and structured approach in a fast-moving setting. Comfortable working in a pre-opening or adaptable environment, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset. Advanced Excel skills and experience with hotel finance systems.
