Description

Our Business Finance Team is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract for an estimated 6-9 months. We are seeking someone to join our high-performing management accounting team, providing helpful and valued financial support to Avant’s business units, including business planning and budgeting, results reporting and expense management. This will be a full-time, 6-9-month contract role with potential to extend further. This role is based in our Darling Park, Sydney CBD offices.

Responsibilities

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist in preparation of the monthly flash and group results.
  • Prepare the consolidated monthly reporting pack which is tabled at the monthly Executive Leadership meeting.
  • Assist in compiling P&Ls for Legal Entity reporting purposes.
  • Preparation of key month end journals.
  • Provide support to the rest of the team during the month-end close process.
  • Group allocations.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Previous experience working within a Financial Control team and understanding of statutory and legal entity reporting.
  • Financial accounting and reporting acumen.
  • Ability to use and develop system tools to automate reporting (such as TM1).
  • Insurance industry knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
