JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Umbrella and payroll services business that is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and oversee our payroll team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Payroll experience

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Credit control for our busy payroll business.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts that align with organisational goals.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks for efficient financial management and reporting.
  • Work alongside our payroll team to ensure financial accuracy and planning and improve process.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies through regular audits and reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as required.
