Role: Management Accountant
Location: Lisburn
Salary: Competitive

About Us: Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across UK and Ireland. We have a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our successful Finance team in Lisburn.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE:

  • Ensuring all finance transactions are processed accurately, timely and according to UK GAAP and other relevant standards/legislation.
  • Month and year end reporting for assigned company and assistance with other month and year end reporting as directed and assisting group interaction on month and year end.
  • Assisting with External Audit, VAT/Tax/Customs and related returns as required.
  • Assistance in company cashflow forecasting and ABL facility management.
  • Preparation of management accounts for review with senior management.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Providing visibility to Finance and Operational Managers of costs and variances.
  • Supporting the department managers in preparation for Budget and Forecast deadlines.
  • Assisting with external auditors’ requests (e.g. PWC/Mazars or Wells Fargo).
  • Assisting in the preparation/reviewing of the entities VAT returns.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Finalist (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)/Qualified by experience
  • Financial accounting experience to trial balance and management accounts level
  • Strong Excel experience (including ability to pivot/lookup)
  • Significant understanding of finance systems and required controls
  • Substantial understanding of Processes / Accounting Principles
  • Extensive experience of working in a busy pressurised finance environment
  • Accuracy and high-level attention to detail.
