Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for a progressive Management Accountant to join a multi-entity organisation which rewards high performance with opportunity. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate and insightful management accounts across a wide range of internal cost centres. The role has a strong focus on overheads and internal projects, supporting the business with cost control, analysis and performance reporting. This is a hands-on role offering excellent scope to streamline processes, build exposure to senior stakeholders, and develop a clear path for progression within the organisation.

AS THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts across multiple internal cost centres
  • Supporting project and overhead reporting, using predominantly Excel-based processes
  • Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles for smaller support functions
  • Preparing commentary and variance analysis, helping managers understand cost performance
  • Contributing to internal audit and compliance processes
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements in reporting and period-end routines
  • Supporting sustainability and other central teams with cost modelling and analysis
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure robust financial control
  • Supporting wider finance initiatives and stepping in to cover colleagues when needed
