JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant with industry experience to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in various accounting software.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar role within industry is essential.
  • ACA / ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in mentoring or training team members is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Motor Industry Experience is an advantage

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Bank Accounts, Payables and Receivables
  • Oversee cashflow and forecasting activities, providing insights to improve financial performance.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Pinewood DMS and Power BI for efficient financial reporting and management.
  • Mentor junior staff members in financial practices and accounting software usage.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with organisational objectives.
  • Prepare reports for management that detail financial performance and highlight key trends.
