    Reporting to the Financial Controller you will provide a high level of support to the Financial Controller in planning, implementation, management and running of the financial activities of Digga Australia. Leading a small team of financial professionals, you will be a dynamic leader with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience in an accounting/finance and is themselves hands on in the delivery of high quality, well analysed, accurate and timely financial results.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar fields
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial accountant role
  • Strong background in large ERP systems
  • Proficiency in payroll and payroll systems
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Advanced Excel skills and intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Problem solver and critical thinker mindset
Responsibilities
  • To work with the CFO and Financial Controller in the preparation and timely monthly, annual and financial reports to the CEO, including and not limited to:
  • Manage timely and accurate month-end close
  • Control of cash management, cash flow, inventory and asset management
  • Review GL transactions, reconciliations and ensure data integrity
  • Oversee and assist the Australian Finance Team including the Accountant, Accounting Assistant (AP), Payroll/Accounts Receivable Officer
  • Support, backup and oversee weekly payroll function
  • To complete monthly tax/legislative reporting including but not limited to BAS, FBT, Payroll tax
  • Support and preparation of external audit requirements
  • Assist with the management of the company’s business planning
  • Work with the Financial Controller to guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • To lead and mentor the accounting team driving continuous improvement culture
