Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team within the fast-paced logistics sector. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful management information, and effective cost control to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will also oversee a small team, ensuring efficient workflows and professional development within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational costs.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and drive efficiencies.
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Contribute to system improvements and automation of financial processes.

Qualifications:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Previous experience in a management accounting role.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and Excel skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
