Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting an organisation based between Thetford and Kings Lynn in their search for a Management Accountant to join the team. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts for various production sites across the UK, focusing on variances and monitoring production costs. The company offers a competitive salary package including 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office based in the PE33 area of Norfolk.

YOUR NEW ROLE

In this Management Accountant job, you will be responsible for producing detailed monthly management accounts for sites across the UK, which will involve working closely with all senior managers on site from the General Manager, Procurement and Senior Production staff to ensure accurate reporting on budget vs. actual costs and investigating variances.
As a Part-Qualified CIMA or Qualified AAT Management Accountant, you will have the experience and commercial awareness of assisting with budget setting, forecasting and the production of these monthly reports along with commentary on variances.
Working with the site management team, you will get to understand the day-to-day operational aspect of the business, allowing you to drive efficiency savings and report on raw material costs, monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances, undertake cost analysis and manage cost control initiatives, as well as collaborating with production and operations teams to optimise financial performance. Any experience of gross margin sales (subtracting the cost of goods sold from net sales) would be an advantage, but this is not essential. Other duties will involve reconciling supplier contract balances and reconciling payroll costs as labour costs are a key area of focus.
