JOB DESCRIPTION

Based at the Regal Redruth, the Managment Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our operation. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to senior management. The Accounts Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation.
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant capable of working with multi-site locations and familiar with all aspects of accounts preparation. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight and control of accounting systems and processes.
  • Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts. Profit & loss forecasts balance sheets and cash flows.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, monitor cash flows, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Work with payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT and PAYE returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Liaising with external auditors to prepare for annual audits and provide year end working papers.
