SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Metcollect Limited. This role is pivotal in managing financial operations and providing insights that drive our business strategy. The successful candidate will be based in our Lisburn office and will contribute significantly to our financial management efforts. Reporting to the MD you will play a pivotal role in developing the continued growth strategy and operational efficiency of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role in finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Reconciling supplier and customer accounts
  • Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes to align with company goals.
  • Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and streamline reporting.
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Monthly staff payroll
  • Mentor junior finance staff, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that influence operational efficiency.
