Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate, insightful financial information that supports informed decision-making across the business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with project teams, contributing to financial strategy, and ensuring robust financial control in a dynamic environment. What You’ll Do Prepare monthly financial information, including project reporting, revenue recognition, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis. Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate reporting of project costs and performance against budget for revenue, costs, and cash flow. Produce project dashboards and management reports for inclusion in internal board packs. Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Financial Controller and senior management to support business decisions. Prepare monthly management accounts (revenue, balance sheet, and cash flow) and report performance against budget. Identify and report project risks that may affect milestones and support corrective actions with project teams. Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, statutory accounts, and external audits. Contribute to the financial appraisal of commercial projects and new business opportunities. Manage project setup in SAP, ensuring accurate allocation of cost baselines, margins, revenue, and cash plans. Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives. What You’ll Bring Professional qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent). 2+ years’ post-qualification experience — ideally within engineering, construction, or manufacturing. Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial controls. Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems across ledgers and project accounting. Skilled in data analytics tools and confident using Excel and PowerPoint. A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly and effectively. Why Join Navantia UK? Be part of a growing organisation that plays a vital role in strengthening the UK’s defence, shipbuilding, and industrial capabilities.
