Established in 1990, Original BTC designs and manufactures innovative and classic lighting suitable for both traditional and contemporary homes. With designs inspired by the clean lines of traditional British factory fittings and iconic 1940s design, each light is hand assembled in Witney, Oxfordshire. Original BTC has 4 showrooms: London, Paris, New York and Munich working with retailers, the contract market (bars, restaurants, hotels etc.) and direct with the consumer.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • AAT (or equivalent) qualified, part-qualified, or currently studying.
  • Payroll experience.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office and PC literate.
  • Experience with accounting systems, ideally Sage and FinancialForce/Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Experience working with foreign currencies (Euro and US Dollar) preferred.
  • Experience in preparing VAT returns and online submissions.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The successful candidate will support the Finance Director in all aspects of preparing management accounts for the group’s companies. Responsibilities will include bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments journals, assisting with weekly and monthly payroll processing, managing credit control, and processing and authorising employee expense claims.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments journals.
  • Support weekly and monthly payroll processing.
  • Manage credit control activities.
  • Process and authorise employee expense claims.
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and online submission.
  • Support accounts preparation for a small group of companies.
  • Contribute to intercompany reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external auditors.
