JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our dynamic Finance teamhere at Schréder. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams, providing critical support through cost control, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
As the go-to expert for management accounting, cost analysis, and variance reporting, you’ll work closely with production and leadership teams to ensure financial visibility across every stage of our manufacturing process. You’ll bring the numbers to life — helping the business understand what’s driving costs, where improvements can be made, and how we can operate smarter every day.
This is more than a back-office role — it’s a high-impact position where your insights will shape the way we operate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ of experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • CPA or CA qualified (or currently studying).
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, cost accounting, variance analysis, manufacturing processes, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in complex ERP systems and Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to interpret and analyse large volumes of financial and non-financial data.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (P&L, B/S, sales, inventory, ops).
  • Manage inventory valuation and reconciliations.
  • Perform standard costing and variance analysis.
  • Monitor production costs and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Provide insights to guide strategic and operational decisions.
  • Track CAPEX and product development; maintain registers.
  • Prepare BAS, FBT, payroll tax, ABS, and other returns.
  • Contribute to ERP improvements across finance and manufacturing.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
  • Assist with AP/AR, audits, and tax compliance.
