OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled, qualified, Management Accountant to join our devoted team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial planning and data analysis practices and can add value and insight through effective communication with stakeholders. You will be proficient in various accounting software and excel. You will need to be resilient and able to adapt to a changing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree or equivalent and a full Accounting qualification is essential. e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA.
  • At least 2–3-year experience in a similar role, preferably within an SME across multiple operations and distributed teams.
  • Be self-motivated and have a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Have developed excellent interpersonal skills to build close working relationships with stakeholders and be able to help non-finance stakeholders understand their performance and consequent actions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent data analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out monthly trends / variance analysis covering the main financial statements.
  • Take a lead role in the budget and 3-year plan process working collaboratively with the senior management and the Financial Accountant.
  • Provide a quarterly forecast, reviewing salesforce data with senior management and finance team.
  • Proactively support the COO, Head Office and Centre managers to discuss actions and re-forecast where needed following regular salesforce data analysis maximising sales opportunities whilst reviewing staffing levels and costs.
  • Prepare meaningful monthly and ad hoc reports for senior management meetings and for the CEO and the board of Trustees’.
  • Work with the CEO and management team on scenario planning and cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist with financial modelling and due diligence of new activities and ventures.
  • Provide financial mentorship and guidance to centre and office managers, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
