QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Commercially minded newly qualified accountant, preferably with experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or retail industry
  • Demonstrated expertise working with non-financial managers, with excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organisation
  • High level of computer literacy (SAP preferred), with strong financial systems & process knowledge, experience of financial controls and procedures
  • Experience in working with ever evolving and growing environments, demonstrated flexibility to manage competing priorities
Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commercial Finance: Work with the business leaders to understand business drivers, provide financial support & reporting, insights and analysis, detailed commercial analysis of trends/ customers/ products, including tender/ contract review, modelling & transaction/opportunity analysis.
  • Reporting: Responsibility for preparation and presentation of monthly business reporting packs unit (incorporating multiple entities) to tight deadlines. Provide financial insight and support to drive positive business outcomes, development of a suite of KPIs to track performance, identify risks and opportunities.
  • Budgets & forecasts: Work with business owners and entity finance teams to understand business unit strategy. Responsibility for developing annual budgets, 5-year plan, and periodic reforecasts across profitability, cashflow and working capital. Cascade budgets to entity level.
  • Financial control: Work with entity finance teams to ensure an accurate and timely month end close. Complete monthly control review of each entity, incorporating detailed review of entity balance sheet (including cash and working capital). Ensure best in class control environment across processes and systems is implemented and maintained.
  • Audit : Work with entity finance teams to deliver Group audit requirements (internal & external). Review of entity statutory accounts.
  • M&A: Support integration of acquisitions, drive commercial synergies, and ensure effective financial integration (including reporting, audit, cashflow, budgets & forecasts).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities that drive both the businesses commercial agenda and ensure best in class financial control is in place across all entities.
