Description of Specific Duties
Prepare, develop and analyse Management Accounting information for the Association. Be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and prepare quarterly VAT returns.
Produce quarterly management reports for the Chief Executive and Board. Liaise with Heads of Departments on all aspects of finance. Analyse variances and exploring potential problems with Heads of Departments.
Plan, organise and oversee operations of the finance office team. Plan and manage investments and produce recommendations and reports for FAR Committee.
Provide financial support, training and advice for sub-committees and societies on request. Compile the annual budget from data obtained via direct contact with Heads of Departments.
Create, implement and seek improvements to processes and procedures around the creation of the monthly accounts. Prepare and report to FAR Financial Statements including Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheet, Budgets and Variance Analysis. Liaise with and assist external Auditors during the annual audit process. Consolidation of journals and accruals monthly and yearly.
