Management Accountant Department: Finance Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: London Heathrow Reporting To: Finance Accounting Manager Description Are you looking to develop your career in Finance? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our fast-paced team at London Heathrow. As the Management Accountant, you will support in month end close and production of financial statements, analytical work to understand movements and business partnering stakeholders. You will have a modern approach to finance in regards to automation and systems with ideas to streamline current processes. This role requires a level of resilience however, in return you will be exposed to the complete workings of a corporate organisation and the entire Finance function. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:- Monthly production of financial statements following a successful close. Build a thorough understanding of all costs incurred by the business to support decision-making by business partnering with operations. Support the Finance Accounting Manager on weekly and monthly reporting and variance analysis. Including the analysis of monthly performance to Budget and/or Forecast of financial and non-financial information, evaluating variance and identifying trends. Review balance sheet reconciliations prepared by assistant management accountant. Management of audit process, developing relationships with external auditors. Adhering to and developing internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary. Working closely with individual P&L owners to ensure accurate monthly reporting and in line with budget. Working closely with the transactional accounting team and the Finance Controller on annual budget and reforecasting quarterly. Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company. Working closely with the Finance Director on adhoc projects. To be successful in this role you will need:- To be part-qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA). Strong management accountant experience. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Commercial and business acumen. Strong excel and modelling skills. To be able to meet deadlines. Modern outlook on Finance (systems interest and automation interest).
