Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek a dedicated and experienced Accountant Full-time job, to manage key financial responsibilities within our organization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to the company’s financial health and growth.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Identify, report on, and analyse KPIs to monitor and improve the financial performance of the company.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct regular financial audits to ensure compliance with Australian taxation and financial regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing back-up to accounts payable and payroll as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and transparency.
  • Assist external accountants in preparing annual income tax and Fringe Benefits Tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.
  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • supervisory responsibilities for the finance team, ensuring that internal processes and controls are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP/ XERO) and Microsoft Excel
  • Monitor and manage financial risks to safeguard company assets
