Title: Management Analyst
Work Remote with occasional (once or twice a year) visit to Washington, DC
Term: Fulltime
Objective:
Support the routine and ad hoc analysis, assessment and reporting of the government’s acquisition management, oversight, and governance activities in accordance with the Government’s statutory obligations of 41 U.S.C. § 1702.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and review of directives, instructions, regulations, Congressional activity, acquisition program or business operations data, Government Accountability Office, Office of Budget and Management, and similar materials to identify gaps or risks, assess status or impact, and provide recommendations to the Government’s lead.
  • Support of the development of routine and ad hoc reports, testimony, white papers, briefing material, memoranda, and similar material to Congress, external Government agencies, and DHS executives for informational or decision-making purposes. Support may entail research, analysis, compilation of information, and the drafting of materials.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, tables, charts, reports, and other similar artifacts as needed, to support acquisition program governance business operations. Services may require collecting data from a variety of disparate sources; compiling, organizing, or summarizing information in a coherent and cohesive manner; applying critical thinking to information of moderate complexity; and engaging with a variety of Government stakeholders to define requirements, obtain differing viewpoints, or receive strategic direction to develop the final deliverable.
  • Review, distribute to appropriate Federal personnel, track status, and consolidate responses to action items, data calls, and similar requests including, but not limited to, those actions transmitted through the DHS Executive Secretariat system of record, internal and external audit responses, and organizational projects and initiatives. All actions received in the DHS Executive Secretariat system of record (these actions are referred to as “taskers”) are reviewed and promptly assigned to the appropriate federal personnel, typically within no more than two (2) hours of receipt for taskers. consolidate responses, as applicable, meeting quality expectations for formatting, grammar, and punctuation. Approved responses shall be returned to the originator by the date and time established by deadline established in each tasker, unless otherwise specified by the Government lead.
  • Provide administrative, technical, and logistical support for meetings, programmatic reviews, symposiums, training, working groups and similar events including the preparation of agendas, handouts, space and equipment arrangements, and meeting notes. coordinate with Government representatives to determine the necessary logistical requirements and coordinate, as necessary, with other DHS offices to plan, obtain, and validate the necessary space and equipment is readily available, reserved, and in proper working order to execute the work-related event. Approved agendas and handouts shall be made available to all event participants at least two (2) business days in advance of the event, unless instructed otherwise by the Government lead. ensure meeting notes are free of typographical and grammatical errors and distributed to event participants within two (2) business days after the conclusion of the event, unless otherwise instructed by the Government.
  • Produce one or more deliverables in the Government’s requested format (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, etc.) for each analytical support activity. The format of the deliverable will be determined with consideration for the task and includes, but is not limited to, an executive-level briefing and/or report of finding(s), recommendation(s), and/or conclusion(s). Work products typically incorporate factual input from multiple Government stakeholders or sources. The frequency, duration, and deadlines may vary, including routine and recurring support, short-term projects, or require quick turn arounds due to external demands necessary to support the operational tempo.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Must be eligible for and maintain a Secret security clearance; must qualify for a government-issued ID badge (PIV card)
