Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the organization’s information systems (i.e. computer, phone, network, etc.) to provide an effective and efficient operation within all Medical/Dental clinics, Administration, Mobile Units and Billing office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain computer, phone and network systems for effective and efficient management of information and function in regards to clinic and administrative operations.
  • Maintain plan for computer, phone and network system’s continued development and improvement in regards to hardware and software purchases by establishing the long term organization needs.
  • Manage and maintain Local Area Network & Wide Area Network performance and security.
  • Manage the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional computer systems for the organization.
  • Manage computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
  • Develop and maintain software training program for new employees as well as provide ongoing training and support to users in regards to organization software and hardware.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
  • Perform hardware and software updates as required by hardware and software vendors and maintain log for each computer update performed.
  • Troubleshoot all software and hardware issues throughout the organization.
  • Maintain procedure manual to insure continuity of computer operations.
  • Maintain appropriate security system to prevent unauthorized user access.
  • Work with IT vendors and consultants as directed by DOO.
  • Maintain policies for all IT systems including phone, computer, and networking.
  • Assist in completion of all Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reconciliations and other required reporting as required by governing agencies.
  • Assist DOO and CFO in completion of all annual cost reports, annual financial audit, annual UDS report, and any other required annual governmental reporting. Provide monthly reports of Corporate Management Information Systems to the DOO.
  • Assists DOO in preparation of MIS Strategic Plan.
  • Other reasonable duties as required by the DOO.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or applicable certification in computer network management plus two years experience of network management for multiple locations preferably within the medical industry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CNA / CCNA or certification as a
CompTIA Network+ (N10-003), Security+ (SY0-101), and/ or A+ (220-602) IT Tech.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply basic concepts of mathematics and computations.

COMPETENCY/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Competency required in the areas of communication, excellent verbal and written skills. Use of computer skills to include working knowledge of all software available to employees and the ability to train employees on usage of software. Extensive knowledge of Local Area Network operations and computer hardware operations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Familiarity with effective use of computerized accounting, billing, patient information, and electronic medical records software. Must be able to use other equipment such as a fax, copier and calculator. Good organizational skills and the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment. Good analytical skills, sticker for details, sense of personal responsibility for work performance and a professional attitude. The ability to work without constant supervision and adhere to policies and procedures is a must.
