Pay: $55,000 - $65,000/annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred, but not required. Associate or Bachelor degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience with customer account relations, and prior experience in the rental car industry is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-5 years prior experience in managing or leading a team of employees.
  • Ideal candidates have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are customer service oriented, fosters teamwork and promotes safety. Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and internet skills.
  • Applicant must meet our minimum hiring age, have a valid state issued Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening and driver safety skills test.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out routine logs, reports and correspondence. Ability to manage schedule, timekeeping records and payroll records.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

While receiving hands-on training the Management Trainee also serves as a second layer of management at their work site; and provides support to the operations team during the start-up of new locations, high-demand seasons, and temporary support as needed.

The Management Trainee must travel when necessary. The length of stay will vary depending on the needs of the account. The Management Trainee will support the Regional Director with local account management and recruiting efforts.

  • Supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training and coaching employees. Planning and directing work. Evaluate performance, issue disciplinary action when needed, address and resolve problems, terminate employees.
  • Coordinate with local management and customer to discuss suggestions, improvements and challenges and make adjustments as applicable. Continuous follow-up with client regarding workflow status.
  • Direct and communicate with staff regarding productivity and document performance issues as necessary. Escalate any misconduct or policy violations to HR immediately as applicable.
  • Inspect all work areas to detect and correct any unsafe work conditions as well as ensure staff is wearing proper attire.
  • Maintain and manage the integrity of the FleetLogix portal to ensure that the data captured is accurate and reflects actual work performed. Utilize the FleetLogix portal as a tool to hold employees accountable for productivity and work requirements.
  • Work with manager to help identify opportunities for internal promotion and advancement for current employees. Identify good performers and poor performers.
  • Assist in training employees on how to handle a variety of situations, both operationally and with other employees.
  • Plans, organizes, or directs activities concerned with the transportation or maintenance of vehicles. Inspects or reviews projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, or other state regulations.
