POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of 3rd Party Material Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for METUS accessory items. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, ensures quality and compliance, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to meet production and business needs. The Manager ensures a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of critical materials from third-party vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary, as this person will interface with other departments, senior & executive management, customers, and vendors
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management or supply chain management is required.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing best practices, contract negotiation and management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in sourcing and procurement software. SAP experience is preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrate and execute process improvement through lean methodology.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to daily changes in supply and demand balance.
  • Should be a self-starter, team player, result oriented, work with minimum supervision and work on projects with deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

    The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200 and $152,900 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.

Responsibilities

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive vendor management strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers to maximize value, mitigate risks, and support business growth.
  • Lead negotiations of supplier agreements, including terms, pricing, quality standards, service levels, and contract compliance.
  • Manage ongoing performance and relationships with third-party material suppliers, addressing issues related to delivery, quality, or cost as needed.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor performance, compliance, delivery, and quality.
  • Work closely with product management, material planning, quality assurance, and engineering teams to understand requirements and align sourcing efforts.
  • Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with vendors while resolving escalations, disputes, and performance issues.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and supplier consolidation opportunities.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate vendor-related risks, including financial, operational, reputational, and compliance risks.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, documentation, and reporting for transparency and audit readiness.
  • Prepare and present status reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, risks, and savings opportunities.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects as required.
  • Maintain accurate SAP data related to supplier information.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% to for various Company meetings and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
