EDUCATION:

University degree in a relevant field of study required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five years of related experience; knowledge of University of Toronto structure; deep familiarity with academic HR life cycle, tenure process, and University academic HR norms.
Excellent knowledge of the University’s academic policies and practices as they pertain to full- time and part-time academic searches, appointments, tenure, promotions, leaves and salary administration; sound knowledge of collective agreement interpretation and administration; experience supervising staff and organizing/co-delivering workshops/training sessions for academic and administrative staff.

SKILLS:

Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management.
