POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Communications Account Manager is responsible for flawless execution of all marketing and creative deliverables for one of Aetna’s key strategic clients. You will plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through on-time completion, ensuring on-target, on-time and on-brand delivery of all deliverables. You will secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes.
You will manage projects according to specific client expectations. You must exhibit outstanding project management and communication skills to work effectively with the communications team, client and creative team in achieving the highest possible standards in client service. You must exhibit knowledge of clients’ business challenges to provide solutions and project management execution.
You may be expected to participate in creative development meetings ensuring final output is on mark. In addition, you will provide project management follow-through and ensure flawless and accurate delivery. You must have deep commitment to operational excellence, superior attention to detail, and disciplined time management in order to keep projects moving throughout the creative process to exceed client expectations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 plus years of creative agency account or project management experience.
  • 5 plus years of marketing communications experience with a focus on health benefits insurance
  • Excellent project management skills, highly organized and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proven experience in project management of print, digital, web, text, video, podcast, direct marketing campaign deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of the benefits of the above communication channels, with the ability to match the channel with the client’s communication preference.
  • Superior attention to detail, with an ability to troubleshoot potential pitfalls.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, both through idea generation and assessment of ideas generated by others.
  • Team player with excellent relationship building and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience gaining client trust and effectively manage client expectations.
  • Skilled at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
  • Employee benefits knowledge and experience
  • Experience in project management tools (preferably Workfront)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
