How you’ll make an impact: Lead and manage a team within the assigned finance workstream, covering areas such as invoice processing, employee travel and expense claims, supplier payment process, month-end close, banking, accounting, and compliance. Willing to be hands on in managing T&E exceptional approval requests, manage stakeholders expectations while complying with policies, as well as review invoices. Simplify, improve and harmonize existing complex processes while not compromising on controls and compliance. Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members. Plan and direct assigned project activities, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Collaborate with project managers to identify risks, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead implementation of process enhancements. Perform other incidental duties as required What you'll need (Required): Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven work experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in accounts payable. What else we look for (Preferred): Proven successful project management expertise Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP); Database tools preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language Excellent interpersonal relationship skills including internal negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives Extensive understanding of financial procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Understanding of business acumen and company related products Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems Ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority with guidance and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations Strict attention to detail with high level of integrity Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control Edwards Lifesciences is the leading global structural heart innovation company, driven by a passion to improve patient lives.
