A well-established and respected public accounting firm in Fredericton, New Brunswick is seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting & Advisory to join their growing team. This is a full-time, in-office position. The firm offers a collaborative environment, a diverse client base including owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations, and a strong commitment to professional excellence and client success.
As Manager, you will take on a leadership role in overseeing assurance and tax engagements, developing strong client relationships, and mentoring a team of professionals. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery and contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm.

EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • CPA designation in good standing is preferred
  • Previous experience working with not-for-profits is an asset
  • Software proficiency, ideally in CaseWare, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven leadership, communication, and client service skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Lead and review audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Manage corporate and personal tax compliance and planning
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients; build lasting relationships
  • Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate team members
  • Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring budgets, timelines, and client expectations are met
  • Keep current with changes to ASPE, ASNPO, and Canadian tax regulations
  • Identify opportunities for added value and business development
