Role Description We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager, Accounting to work with the Accounts & Admin Manager to manage the accounting operations of our India entity. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and taxation. This role involves accounting processes, SOFTEX documentation, GST, tax filings, and audits and support of Admin for budgeting. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting Operations: Perform day-to-day accounting activities and entries, including Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger maintenance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS. Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper substantiation. Assist in SOFTEX documentation, certification, and submission for export of IT/ITES services through authorized banks and STPI. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Support tax filings and compliance activities, including: GST: preparation of returns, reconciliations (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B matching), and annual filings. Income Tax & TDS: monthly TDS payments, quarterly returns, and Form 16/16A issuance. Audits: assist in statutory and internal audits, ensure audit readiness, maintain audit trails, and support timely closure of observations. Regulatory filings: support in tax assessments and compliance under Income Tax, GST, and Companies Act. Perform bank, intercompany, and vendor reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of open items. Handle monthly payroll accounting, employee reimbursements, and compliance with PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax requirements. Process Improvement & Governance: Periodically review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and compliance functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Admin, HR, Operations, and US Finance) to ensure end-to-end accuracy and timely reporting. Support statutory filings under the Companies Act, in coordination with external consultants or company secretarial teams. Requirements Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory. Experience: 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, finance, or compliance. Strong knowledge of: Indian GAAP / Ind AS GST, TDS, and Income Tax laws SOFTEX and STPI procedures Proven experience working with CA firms for audits, filings, and compliance. Hands-on experience in budgeting. Proficiency in Zoho, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
