TITLE: Manager, Accounts Payable LOCATION: Ashburn, VA   POSITION SUMMARY:  The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role involves managing a team, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Accounts Payable Manager plays a vital role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the financial health of the organization.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, providing direction, training, and performance feedback. * Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment disbursements. * Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to accounts payable operations. * Monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. * Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts payable. * Manage vendor relationships, including resolving payment issues and negotiating terms. * Coordinate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, finance, accounting) to ensure proper workflow and communication. * Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations. * Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics for management review. * Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Education/Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). * Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles. * Prior supervisory or management experience in an accounting or finance environment. * Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, systems, and best practices. * Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.   Computer Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications such as: Excel, Word, and Outlook * Knowledge of NetSuite is a PLUS.   Certificates and Licenses: * No certificates or licenses required   Supervisory Responsibilities:  * Supervisory responsibilities   Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
