Responsibilities Lead day-to-day leadership of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of all payables. Lead process improvement initiatives and drive system automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent errors or irregularities. Oversee invoice review and payment activities, ensuring timely payments and maximizing available discounts. Monitor vendor credit balances and refunds, ensuring prompt reconciliation and resolution. Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team, fostering a collaborative, customer service–focused culture. Establish clear performance standards and ensure consistent execution of best practices across the team. Encourage team-driven innovation by promoting change recommendations and implementing improved processes and procedures. Resolve complex or escalated payment issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required governmental reporting, including 1099 filings. Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable, including follow-up on outstanding items. Manage short- and long-term departmental goals, aligning priorities with organizational objectives. Develop and track key performance metrics, drive continuous improvement, and promote efficient, effective A/P operations. Oversee staffing, coaching, performance management, and ongoing team development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, with a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience. Management experience in a healthcare organization is highly preferred.
