The work is fast‑paced and purposeful, delivering real value and impact across the University community.   About the Role:  Working with the Director of Advancement, the Associate Director of Philanthropy, and the Alumni Manager, you will lead the Advancement Operations team to deliver impactful strategic projects and strengthen operational performance.    You’ll drive the development of the systems and frameworks that support fundraising, alumni engagement, and stakeholder relations, while building strong internal and external partnerships to enhance outcomes and elevate VU’s reputation.    You will also lead key cross‑departmental initiatives, develop effective reporting tools, and oversee core Advancement resources, including the CRM and marketing and communications tech stack.   Position Key Duties  * Managing the planning, development and implementation of the operational infrastructure and frameworks for Advancement to achieve fundraising, alumni and stakeholder relations goals.  * Developing and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers and stakeholders to maximise outcomes, strengthen relationships, and enhance VUs reputation.  * Leading strategic, cross-departmental projects to deliver against Advancement Plan targets.  * Leading the development of reporting metrics and platforms for the Advancement unit * Leading the management of Advancement management resources, including the CRM and marketing and communications stack.   Salary:  HEP 9 - $132,942 - $138,314 – Plus 17% Superannuation Employment Type:  Full Time – Ongoing/Permanent Hours:  36.75 – 1.0 FTE Location: Footscray Park Campus – 3 days on site.   For a detailed overview of the role’s duties and responsibilities, please refer to the Position Description - Manager Advancement Operations [https://webresources.vu.edu.au/hr/employment/pdf/2026/340_17189.pdf]   About You:  The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent initiative, judgement and high-level problem solving skills in developing and implementing an engagement plan that delivers beneficial outcomes to internal and external stakeholders of the University.   The successful applicant will: * Have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education, with 5+ years’ experience in an Alumni or Membership-based role. * Demonstrated experience in providing outstanding alumni or membership stewardship. * Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful engagement strategies and plans * Demonstrated experience in project and event management. * High-level interpersonal and communication skills.   The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.    How to Apply Applications must be submitted: * A cover letter * Your curriculum vitae/resume * Your responses addressing all selection criteria located in the position description * Evidence of applicable qualifications, licences and registration   Applications will close Sunday March 22 at 5pm.
