An exciting leadership opportunity awaits within the Medical Ambulatory department at South Health Campus Hospital! The Unit Manager for Medical Ambulator, Endoscopy, HPTP and Day Medicine performs a leadership role in the Portfolio of Cardiac Sciences, Clinical Neurosciences and Medical Services. The position reports directly to the Program Manager of these areas. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization of 7 different Specialty areas: in collaboration with the leadership team on a zonal level, while also ensuring the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is accountable for making unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for achieving goals within the department level that in turn impacts Medical Services on a zonal level. This may include Strategic Planning, Operational Leadership, Relationship Management, People Management, Performance Management, Change Leadership, Resource Management, Risk Management and Quality Improvement Initiatives. The Unit Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders who include patients, families, SHC staff, physicians and community services.
