Job Summary: Manages the responsibilities and staff for ambulatory operations, shared services Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation projects and initiatives, shared services integration projects and initiatives. Manages all aspects of large-scale, complex EHR, operations, integration and conversion projects and initiatives. Oversees all EHR implementation tasks and milestones, practice acquisition administration and conversion to Adventist Health network, start-up facility initiatives, facility relicensing, relocations, and ongoing business relationships. Provides operations project oversight and work direction in a matrix reporting relationship. Works in collaboration with various leaders in the organization and management teams through project planning, scope and requirements gathering, identifying stakeholders and project workstreams, identifying and navigating risk and timelines, and all aspects of integration and conversion initiatives. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel, in both a direct reporting and collaborative partnership structure, using both supervisory and professional discretion and independent judgment. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required * Master's Degree: Preferred * Five years' relevant healthcare experience: Preferred * One year's leadership experience: Preferred * Experience building and leading project delivery teams with both directed and matrixed resources: Preferred Essential Functions: * Manages shared services EHR implementation projects and initiatives, from small tasks to large-scale, complex, and with significant funding and revenue impacts. Includes assigning tasks and projects to team members, analyzing project requests, developing project plans including deliverables, timelines, and priorities, identifying and collaborating with project team members and holding them accountable, mitigating risks, and ultimately driving projects to successful completion. Manages provider onboarding as it relates to EHR planning (schedule templates and system access), and various other EHR related activities and initiatives. * Manages ambulatory operations integration and conversion project activities, including identifying and assigning projects to team members, analyzing project requests, developing project plans including deliverables, timelines, and priorities, identifying and collaborating with project team members and holding them accountable, mitigating risks, and ultimately driving projects to successful completion. Partner with market and system leaders on acquisition administrative efforts of independent practices, including facilitation of due diligence activities, conversion projects of independent practices into the Adventist Health network, and other types of integration initiatives. Assigns projects to team members, providing support and coaching, as well as holding project owners accountable. Acts as project owner of complex, large-scale projects, especially projects with significant budget impacts. * Works cross-functionally and collaborates with ambulatory staff, physicians, and administration/executives to analyze information and create/execute EHR implementation and acquisition and conversion plans designed to achieve the expansion of services to the community, improved access and affordability, growth of existing services and increased margins and productivity. Works to ensure goals and objectives are aligned. Collaborates and partners with other teams and departments throughout the system, that participate in tasks and project initiatives and holds them accountable to project deliverables. * Applies and utilizes standard project management tools, processes, documentation, reporting mechanisms and methodologies. Leverages multiple communication channels to communicate project tasks, status, reporting and presentations to executive level stakeholder groups. Builds change management and communication plans to execute as part of the project. * Facilitates working groups for sharing information, as part of a project plan or team process. Analyzes project requirements and scope and uses negotiating skills to secure appropriate resources, aligned with project goals. Analyzes complex project issues and facilitates and/or develops innovative solutions with cross-functional teams. Performs some or all project tasks, and/or delegates with clear expectations where appropriate, coaching and holding project team members accountable. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
