Corporate Credit Business Support unit is responsible for all activities to clients post credit facility approval. This includes documentation execution and security perfection with the client, Document lodgment and limit update in Finacle, Loan Disbursement, timely update of collaterals, one off credit approvals and credit referrals processing, monitor allocated portfolio exceptions incl. past dues management & Central Bank audit report. Job purpose is to manage all post credit approval activities and timely service clients’ requirements within Bank approved framework with minimal RM engagement.

 

  • Ensure that all credit related transactions are timely processed as per stipulated standards.
  • Raising Limit Extensions (post security pack handed over to the customer) till FRS release.
  • Adhoc limit requests for temporary overdraft, Trade transactions, one off transaction, etc
  • Process daily referrals (Smart business, RMWB transactions (trade, referrals, clearing/onus) with relevant approvals
  • Timely Loan disbursements in compliance with approved conditions and bank laid applicable policies
  • Loan Rollovers/ Pre-settlement/ Repayments.
  • Intense engagement with clients’ finance managers, CFOs, authorized signatories, other for documentation execution, disbursement, collateral perfection, others
  • Regular account monitoring for exceptions and manage exceptions incl. one off credit requests for smooth client operations.
  • Lodgment of perfected security pack to CRAD DLT and ensuring observations raised are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Document deficiencies remediation within approved timeline
  • WB Reports: Expired Valuation & Insurance Management remediation with minimal cases exceeding approved deferral timeline. Escalation in case of non-submission by clients and. Valid approvals/communications in place for expired items,
  • Daily monitoring of exception reports e.g. Past Due, Excess, others and follow up with the client for timely settlement cc coverage team and timely escalation to BU / Management
  • Early Alert report preparation
  • Liaison with Group Legal on documentation queries / clarification or as required by stakeholders.
  • Prepare report / data as and when required for Central Bank & other auditors.
  • Pricing Check to be undertaken once FRS is released and as required
  • Build and maintain a robust quality framework that reviews the quality of investigation undertaken by AML TM team.
  • Undertaken thematic review in the unit as per various money laundering detection scenarios. Identify risk and build a remediation plan.
  • Undertaken review on work undertaken by AML Monitoring team of Group Operations.
  • Assist business stakeholders to identify and analyse business risks.
  • Maintain and build effective relationships with the related divisions so that effective escalation of issues is achieved and risk managed.
  • Review of CB UAE circulars to understand the requirement of amending procedure of investigation approach to ML /terror financing risks.
  • Gathering of market intelligence to understand emerging typologies and undertake the risk review and remediation plan.
  • Maintain adequate record-keeping /MI and evidences pertaining to AML QC, etc.
  • Keep abreast of related rules, regulations and best practices pertaining to AML, assess its impact on FAB.
  • Develop methods for team effectiveness; question and investigate the reliability and integrity of data, the validity of conclusions, and the appropriateness of assumptions made.
  • Provide operational expertise to internal working groups, teams and committees focused on enhancing current procedures and creating efficiencies.
  • The Bank’s Group AML Monitoring Compliance function.
  • The Bank’s compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Other authorities as directed by the MLRO of Group Compliance or obligations mentioned in CB circulars.
  • Manager, AML TM Quality Checks/ AML – AVP and AML – VP: Daily; Meetings, phone calls, e-mails; To report progress updates and to raise new risks/issues or challenges as appropriate.
  • Head of FLOD Compliance Operations: As required; Meetings, phone calls, e-mails; To report progress updates and to raise new risks/issues or challenges as appropriate.
  • MLRO Team: As required; Meetings, phone calls, e-mails; To report suspicious activity and to raise new risks/issues or challenges as appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance, preferably with certification in compliance, AML, risk management or internal audit.
  • At least 8 years of banking experience preferably 5 years in Compliance and/or Audit in Banks.
  • Excellent understanding of regional laws and applicable international regulations.
  • Excellent Knowledge of the AML/CTF applied on different business banking functions.
  • Strong interpersonal, people management and facilitation skills.
  • Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workload.
  • Focused on driving tasks to completion with pace, whilst retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Discrete and has sense for integrity and handles highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.

Preferred / Beneficial

  • Preferable bilingual, Fluent in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal skills.
