Job Summary The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the Group’s impact, climate risk, and sustainable finance frameworks, as well as other process improvement initiatives, ensuring they are effectively implemented, aligned with regulatory and industry standards, and embedded across the organisation. Job Description Oversee departmental budget planning, including annual workplan costing and resource allocation for sustainability and technical advisory activities. Monitor utilisation of approved departmental and project budgets to ensure spending remains within approved limits. Review claims, invoices and payment requests in compliance with BPMB financial policies and procedures. Develop cost control measures and prudent spending practices across sustainability initiatives and advisory work. Manage financial tracking and periodic reporting for sustainability-related projects to support management review and audit requirements. Liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g. customers, clients and consultants) to obtain relevant information and data to support impact and climate risk assessments. Prepare impact reports to support financing and transactions and provide related advisory and consultancy support to internal functions. Liaise with internal stakeholders and manage the end-to-end flow of requests for climate risk and impact assessments, including tracking, distributing to team members, and ensuring timely completion. Manage the Group’s climate risk framework in line with Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) climate risk requirements (CRMSA, CCPT, CRST), including governance and policy documents, conducting climate scenario analysis, risk assessments, stress testing, and disclosures. Manage the Groups impact assessment framework, including the development and enhancement of methodology, governance structures, implementation processes, and institutionalisation across the organisation. Manage the Group’s Sustainable Development Sukuk framework in line with Securities Commission (SRI) Guidelines and other industry standards, including managing eligible assets and portfolios, and preparing annual progress report for investors. Prepare and present recurring reports and updates to management and board committees on impact and climate risk data. Undertake additional tasks, projects or responsibilities as assigned by Management or supervisors from time to time to support departmental and organisational priorities, in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and legal requirements. Attend seminars, courses, conferences, and exhibitions relevant to the job scope, and network with industry experts to enhance knowledge and build collaboration opportunities. Lead workshops and briefings to promote knowledge building and sharing among peers, ensuring stakeholders are equipped to effectively perform their roles within the sustainability frameworks. Support, mentor and guide subordinates / trainees, where applicable. Support tactical or strategic initiatives as directed by Management or supervisors, including responsibilities not explicitly outlined above, subject to applicable governance and regulatory requirements. Job Requirement Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Actuarial Science, Finance, Environmental Science, Business, or related fields. At least 5+ years of experience in risk management, strategy, data analytics and project management. Exposure to climate risk, sustainability/ESG, and financial services or development finance is a plus. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Ability to prepare analytical reports and presentation decks for management. Strong presentation and communication skills for management, board and senior stakeholders. Experience liaising with regulators, consultants, and external stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
