JOB SUMMARY

This role is within Chamberlain Group’s IT Enterprise Applications function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Lead and manage a team of application developers to design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the extended SAP application ecosystem and (ii) Lead functional and technical teams across the company as required to define and design technical solutions that meet requirements and adhere to platform and application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices. Education requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent; Experience requirements include: 9+ years experience as an application developer in an SAP environment; experience on at least one full life cycle development project from design through post-go-live support; 7+ years experience in environments with application integration requirements such as e-commerce, logistics and shipping.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 9+ years experience as an application developer in an SAP environment; experience on at least one full life cycle development project from design through post-go-live support; 7+ years experience in environments with application integration requirements such as e-commerce, logistics and shipping

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communications
  • Expertise in systems analysis, problem analysis, troubleshooting, and technical error resolution.
  • Leading knowledge of software development lifecycles and how to take a solution from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment including release and change management.
  • Expert-level business requirements analysis skills and ability to develop alternatives and recommend systems solutions to business problems. Ability to clearly communicate technical topics with business stakeholders.
  • Expert-level data analysis skills and ability to translate business reporting needs into specific technical requirements and report designs.
  • Technical expertise in some of the following SAP skills: IDOCS, ALE, LSMW, RFC’s, Enhancement Framework (Implicit and Explicit Enhancements), User Exits, BAPI’s, SAP EDI, BADI’s, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, Sap script, CMOD, SMOD, ABAP Query, ABAP Dictionary, Classes and Methods, ALV, VOFM Routines, BTE’s, Workflow, Performance and tuning, Screen and Menu Painter, SPAU and SPDD

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in global environments with multi-currency and multi-language solutions; prior experience in a direct or indirect management capacity

The pay range for this position is $97,700.00 - $184,175.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of application developers to design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the extended SAP application ecosystem
  • Lead functional and technical teams across the company as required to define and design technical solutions that meet requirements and adhere to platform and application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices
  • Manage development of highly complex solutions to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines
  • Manage creation of standard Software Development Lifecycle deliverables for high complexity projects such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, test scripts, etc., following Chamberlain Group standards
  • Ensure quality of delivery; define code standards and lead code reviews; analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications
  • Manage the support of production systems to meet service levels; proactively work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests; lead production support processes including identification of issue severity, root cause, and path to resolution
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery; prepare work estimates and work schedules; manage issues and risks; manage stakeholder communications
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes and methodologies; research and represent industry best practices
  • Work with stakeholders to manage and prioritize work backlog and create plans and schedules for delivery
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
