Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager, Arc Learning Unit to lead the delivery of Arc, the Department of Education’s digital platform that provides Victorian teachers with access to curriculum-aligned resources, professional learning opportunities, and safe and reliable software and technologies. You will drive innovation in digital learning platforms, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver a high-quality user experiences.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position available until 30 June 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Arc Learning will:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of Arc, ensuring alignment with department goals and priorities.
  • Apply agile project management principles to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Work closely with IT and digital teams to support software development and future enhancements.
  • Ensure a user-centric approach by incorporating UX/UI best practices.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to manage expectations, gather insights, and drive project success.

Attributes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • expertise and experience in leading IT projects within government or similar contexts.
  • strong knowledge of software development and digital technologies.
  • practical experience in agile project management methodologies.
  • an applied understanding of UX/UI principles
  • highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
